Thank god noone heard us because then they put the antipasti on it:)

Conor – I soooo have to get there, it’s at the top of my list at the moment. Must have a look at the summer menu. I don’t know how Locatelli’s would compare to there as every review I have read has been so positive so you mightn’t be as impressed as we were.

I nearly booked it for my recent trip to London. Is it REALLY worth it? I read so many conflicting reviews and the prices look outrageous for what amounts to (relatively) simple food. I just couldn’t do it…

I also nearly booked Zefferano, but it’s around the same price point as LL. What is it about Michelin star Italians? I must do a blog post about it! :-)

Paul – I have it but I’ve never cooked anything from it though, don’t know why, must have a look again. MMMMM risotto with quail, very nice and you can NEVER have too much parmesan:)

Fixup – you always find the mistakes;) I should have explained better, it comes on a plank of wood and they place that on top of the tomatoes, gimmicky but good.

Conor – It won’t be the best Italian you ever have, that would be at Locatelli’s for sure but for the prices, concept, value for money, q of ingredients etc you’ll love it.

I can recommend the book, “Jamie’s Italy”. I made his basic risotto bianco from it last week, and it was probably my most successful risotto ever (admittedly, that bar isn’t high).

To his basic recipe, I added petit pois and shredded quail meat. I also halved the amount of parmesan the recipe called for as it was just *too* sinful.
