Eatalian Beans on Toast…
Monday, October 15th, 2012I’ve decided to start a weekly recipe section using RIF Sauces as although they are a pasta sauce they are quite versatile so I’m going to post a recipe every week for each of the 4 sauces. First up is Tomato & Basil, this recipe is so simple and takes about 10 minutes to make, you will never open a tin of beans again. what you need:
1 tub of RIF Tomato & Basil Sauce
100g pancetta/bacon or chorizo
1 tin cannellini beans
1 garlic clove
4 slices country style bread
olive oil
parmesan cheese optional
what to do:
heat 2 tbsp spoons of olive oil in a pan…
add your pancetta and cook for 2-3 mins until crispy…
drain your beans…
add your pot of Real Italian Foodies Tomato & Basil Sauce…
add your beans…
cook over a low heat for about 10 mins…
Toast your bread & rub with a garlic clove…
drizzle your bread with olive oil…
Spoon your beans onto your toast and top with parmesan cheese if you like and a drizzle of olive oil…
